Wife and I are from Wilton, New York....thats in "upstate NY".....just north of Saratoga Springs and about 20 miles S of Lake George.

With a little luck, we will be Villagers in a year or two.....we can't wait.

Pittsford is a GREAT school district....and a beautiful area! The also host the LPGA there every year....Nancy Lopez has played there many times at Locust Hill in Pittsford and we were able to watch her this year in Pittsford!

Gates is very nice as well....growing....especially near Roberts Weslyan!

Re: Where are you from?

Born in River Rouge, MI and spent several years in Wyandotte, MI. Moved north to Port Austin, MI for a couple of years of HS. Managed the roller rink in 57-58. Really hated to see it burn down. 20 yrs in the Navy with way too many places to list. A couple of yrs working in MA and living in Hollis, NH. Work took me south to Lorton, VA where I was a beltway bandit. ::) Then 7 yrs full time in an RV. Slept in all but 2 states, and most of Canada. Settled in TV 2004. Wife was born and raised in Lowell, MA. I saved her when I moved south to VA. We love it here, but still love to travel.

Re: Where are you from?

I was born in the South Bronx, moved to Queens but spent most of my childhood in North Babylon New York (on Long Island). I attended college at SUNY in Oneonta (near Cooperstown NY) and then started working and living in Queens. I lived a nomadic existence for a few years, eventually spending some time in Cheshire Ct, Levittown NY and for the last 25 years (until 3 weeks ago), Ellicott City Maryland. Ellicott City is a wonderful place, and were it not for an even better place called The Villages, I'd still be there.
