Whistling toilet
When I flush the master toilet, the water inlet valve in the guest toilet makes a whistling sound. Started about 6 months ago. Happens about 90% of the time. Does not happen when any faucet is running. Has anyone else dealt with this?

Also maybe try shutting off the water on the secondary toilet then see what happens when you flush the master.

Sounds like a venting problem. But, I am not sure what you mean by the water inlet valve. Does water run in the guest toilet when you flush the master toilet? That would indicate a blockage in the vent pipe. You may need to get a plumber to go on the roof to check for a blockage in the vent pipe. But, I would start by replacing the flapper or sealing gasket in the guest toilet tank and see if it fixes the problem. That is a simple do it yourself task. You may also try shutting the toilet supply valve to the guest toilet (pull it out), empty the guest toilet by flushing it, and then see if you still get the noise.

I have the same type of problem. When the float goes to the top I get that sound.

Huh? Which fill valve was sticking? The master toilet or the guest toilet? Why would the guest toilet whistle when you flushed the master toilet? And, what do the faucets have to do with the problem? I'd like to know for future reference.

We both suggested a vent problem and/or a valve problem. But we're just mere commoners..
