i can tell you who was firing them, inconsiderate people who don't care about the misery they bring to veterans with PTSD, domestic pets and wild animals. Why anyone enjoys the noise, while it causes so much suffering, is beyond comprehension.

I live in historic and heard them from about 6 o'clock on. They were so mild and sporadic, it was ridiculous. It certainly was not a "show" by any means (very disappointing lol) which leads me to believe it was older folks having a good time. But I promise you this, it was nothing that would upset a skittish dog or someone with sensitivities....trust me. I know, i live with one.

Well, goody for you. It went on from dark to 12:30am here near 466A in Wildwood.

Ours was that long too....you'd think they'd get tired or chilled...they should have done one quick show and call it a night.

I heard them also. Some local and some in the distance that sounded like city or town sanctioned.

I guess you can say the same thing for loud pipes on cycles and antique cars allowed on our streets in all hours of the day.
But THAT seems to be acceptable.

There's a difference from an annoying noise moving past you.... and one that stays for many hours. <shrug>

So I've read, I don't live in either and I imagine it's just as miserable for the same people and animals that fireworks are.

It's an interesting aspect of 4th of July and other fireworks popular holidays. Many Veterans have a hard time coping with fireworks. Read what one American Legion Post did to help:

An interesting quote from Ben Franklin goes something like If, you can only publish things that will offend no one, you cannot publish anything. Perhaps, that is true of most things.

Whoa, I can only imagine how upsetting that would be to veterans.

So what I hear some on here saying, is that fireworks should be illegal as they can cause a negative reaction to some people and pets. I wonder how many vets and pets live in Orlando. They have nightly fireworks.
