Reopening

Just remember to practice safe distance when outside. If the villagers won't cooperate it will be a long time before we are back to a new normal.

There are too many people here in TV that think the world revolves around them and don't care if they infect anyone; those are The Village Idiots.

If the shoe fits......

Shoe doesn’t fit unless you include the fact I am a healthcare worker, and I know what people have. So stay safe with the public that most likely is not infected, while my group puts their families at risk everyday.

It’s been done for years in the healthcare field, doesn’t take a lot of skill

Of course not, one chair per table, at least 6ft spacing.

That makes more sense. Thanks. I imagine cards and dice games are out.

So you only care about businesses you patronize and the rest can go bankrupt?

Thanks for sharing this. Very perceptive, caring and understanding opinion piece imho.

Please reply with a quote. Asking people to go back to a previous post is most certainly not going to happen. Thanks.

Table Tops

Looking at a picture of the arrangement of tables/chairs at a Rec. Center in Phase II, I might suggest to residents that along with masks, gloves and hand sanitizers one might also bring extra batteries for hearing aids, megaphones and binoculars. Now, what else might one need? :icon_wink:

Hey, I already bring that stuff everywhere I go, huh, what did you say? Given the table layout, those folks that are missing their ability to dance could dance on the table tops. Of course I probably would not want to see that.

No they would not take their mask off just to sneeze. You have to be kidding. Why would they? unless they intentionally want the others to die.

Masks are less than effective during a cough or sneeze due to the blowby.

I did see a woman take off her mask in a Publix to sneeze contaminating both hands in the process.

Most people don't know how to use them correctly so I suspect the risk reduction is a wash. Masks are more safety theater than not.

I think you have that backwards, YOU wearing a mask helps protect others when you cough and sneeze. Others wearing a mask helps protect you when they cough and sneeze. At least for most of us that do not have masks with filters.

Agree.

I usually do but in this case it was meant as simply a thank you and acknowledgment to the poster referenced. I agree with you that a response like " that was funny " can be confusing with out the quote it is referring too.
In future, coffeebean, I'll try to do better to avoid any confusion.
