Humidity makes it feel much colder.

When in Florida I am hoy inside unless the AC is at 70/71. Up north we keep the heat at 68 on the first floor and 60 on the second floor. 2 weeks ago I think I put a sweatshirt on once as we were on the cart after 11 abandoned it was starting to get cool, driving an hour thought the sweatshirt would be good.

What have the temps been this week? We had 80’s when we were there.

Over the past 50+ years, I got quite used to winter. For the last 26, I lived in Northwest NJ, at elevation(where the ski resorts are, for a reason; it's colder, gets more snow). I didn't typically even put a coat on unless it was 45 or colder. 50s is T-shirt weather. I only really disliked when it was sub 15 or there was that clammy humidity in the low 20s that made it feel much colder.

This morning, it was in the high 40s here in TV at 6:30 when I took the dog out for a walk. I am bundled up like Nanook of the North. I guess I've adapted, but it felt much colder to me than the thermometer says it is and I got to be a really good judge of it.

That’s so funny, because the first year we were down here, we thought people bundled up at 50* was funny. Now, after 7 years, I don’t think it’s funny at all. Thinning blood? Who knows. I almost got nostalgic about sitting in front of the fireplace, bundled up in my wool clothes. But then I slapped myself.

I've found that if I feel chilly, I simply open the window..........:1rotfl::1rotfl::1rotfl:

Blood doesnt thin...if it did we would bleed out with a paper cut!

Yes, the first year, i was here, it was 50 degrees...im laughing at all these people in winter clothes..scarves, hats, gloves, etc...im in shorts.

You just get aclimated after a while.

I am freezing in the past couple of days!

feels great for this ex-northern to wake up and have some cool, crisp air for a change

maybe I'll even get to use the heated steering wheel feature in the new car this winter...and see how different the steering wheel feels from when I park the car in the open during the midday sun in the summertime :1rotfl::1rotfl:
