Default Wildwood zoning regulations

I've borrowed this from nanance's thread about 18 new deputies and thought this may need its own discussion.

"Is Buttonwood part of The Villages or is it part of Wildwood? If it is part of The Villages and is built on land owned by the developer, how can there be a Wildwood Police Station located in Brownwood?"

Wildwood is a incorporated city and any construction built within their city limits would be subject to their zoning regs, and Municipal ordinances. Regardless of who develops the property it is still Wildwood. And any residential areas built within those areas would be Wildwood residents who would be subjuect to Wildwood Zoning rather than TV's.

Curious as to how Wildwoods and TV's vision of a neighborhood will differ?

Part of The Villages are in the Town of Lady Lake. Spanish Springs town square is patroled by Lady Lake Police. There will be no difference except more tax's being paid.

Just curious. How far north in TV does the town of Wildwood extend? Are any of the villages north of 466A in Wildwood, if so which ones? Are all the villages south of 466A in Wildwood? Thanks

Very true and don't forget parts of TV is located in Marion County, But each of these areas have their own known advantages/disadvantages (depending on your outlook) But Wildwood is still an unknown.

If you examine the boundaries, only the commercial properties are in the incorporated boundary of wildwood. Not the residential.

The official Zoning map of the city of Wildwood

http://www.wildwood-fl.gov/vertical/..._Map_11x17.pdf

If you look, The current TV residential areas border on Wildwood, And there is land in Wildwood that would fit nicely into TV. There is a large chunk on 466a just west of Buena Vista

AI suspect that Wildwood PD and Sumter Sheriff's Office have cooperative agreements where they will respond to calls which are, strictly speaking, in the other one's patch.

The city of Wildwood quietly annexed the commercial parts of The Villages (Brownwood) about 2 years ago in an agreement with the developer. I presume he is providing the small Police Dept. Office in Brownwood at no (or low) expense for better coverage and convenience.

I believe that there is no problem here with this whole issue. Wildwood annexed commercial property. Taxes for them. We have Wildwood police, good for us.

We aren't Wildwood. We are the Villages. Long live the King.

As usual, right on Gracie, but you forgot to mention that TV gave Wildwood a grant to hire two officers to help cover Brownwood.
