We are coming to TV this weekend, are there any places in TV that offer free wireless access?

Re: Wireless service
There are a number of places, one is the library at 466 and Belvedere Blvd, I'm sure others will chime in. Welcome to TV and TOTV. Ed

Re: Wireless service
If you are near Colony Cottage, Mcdonalds has WiFi available. Don't know if it is free or not. I just noticed that my laptop picked up a signal from them. Also Barnes & Noble has WiFi for like 3 or 4 bucks an hour. One time I needed acess real fast and just rode thru a neighborhood, free signal was everywhere. Hope this helps

Starbucks and Panera Bread in Spanish Springs. Denny's on 441. Savannah Center has computers and printers for residents and guests with ID's (one hr limit at a sitting).

Re: Wireless service
Tony, Maybe free was the wrong word to use, available would probably be the proper term. My bad. Just for the record what is a War Driver?

Re: Wireless service
War driving is searching for WiFi signals from a moving vehicle. It is generally associated with hackers. There is also war walking and war biking.
The war part of the term comes from the term war dialing from the movie War Games. In that movie a kid has his computer methodically dialing numbers to find computers at computer game companies. He inadvertently found a military computer. |

Re: Wireless service
If you have wireless signal and it is password protected nobody else can access your signal

Re: Wireless service
I think that TV will be a perfect place to have free WiFi, at least in the town centers.
