Default wonder?

wonders what kind of story leads to just 1 shoe being left on the side of the cart path....in the middle of nowhere...just a lone pink clog...someone put it on a fence post in hopes that the owner would return.....One can only hope!

jds,

I started a thread a while back about just one shoe laying in the road, I have seen this many times and wondered the same thing. Im glad to know Im not the only one that ponders these things.

Ah come on, you have never lost a shoe? To much Gray Goose will do it every time. I always buy 3 pair exactly the same so as I lose one it just helps make up for the others. Just throw the most worn one away. Besides maybe a one legged person decided to go bare foot. Or someone placed them in the back of the golf cart when leaving the pool and then hit an alligator on the cart path and the bump bounced one out. Or was riding along and saw a BIG bird blocking the path so throw a shoe at it. There are all kinds of logical explanations. These things can happen.

Maybe Cinderella has moved to TV and is wearing more sensible shoes these days. Surely she is retired by now. And I'll bet she has given up those glass slippers for clogs. Things seem to work out pretty well for her after she loses one shoe, you know.

Craig Wilson, who writes a weekly (usually humerous) column for USA Today in the Lifestyle section, wrote a column about the one shoe phenomenon 2 or 3 yrs ago. I had never noticed them before, but ever since I read his column, I see them everywhere!

OhioGirl,

I sure wish I could get my hands on that article because this has baffled me for years. One shoe in the middle of the road as your driving along is a very strange thing in my opinion. Im sure there is a logical explanation but I sure wish I knew what it was!!!

Ohio Girl, Thankyou very much, People look at me like I have 10 heads when I talk about seeing 1 shoe everywhere I go!

Well, personally, I think Talk Host or some other Administrator deliberately dropped that shoe, just to create a buzz around TOTV!

I must admit that a single shoe is weird. The lost golf glove, the towel, now and then a pair of sunglasses - those are easy to understand.

Calls to mind a situation on last week's tv show The Mentalist, where the victim was running across a bridge without one shoe. Suppose the missing one is the one found here?
