Default Anyone know what happened at the intersection of CR101 and CR466.

I heard from my mother that there were a lot of flashing lights near this intersection (Belvedere and CR466) near the Villages High School and Southern Trace Shopping Center at about 12:10 PM Thursday.

Looks like there was an accident yesterday to the west of this with just minor injuries according to the site which must not be named.

We drove by there about 12:30 and saw one car on the median with it's side bashed in.

Thanks. Viewed the article. Does anyone sell Sherman Tanks in the Villages? Sometimes I think that is the only way to be safe. Of course, many roads in the Villages probably could not hold that weight especially when Shermans started showing up in packs with other drivers trying to stay safe.

I agree with the previous poster. This place for driving is getting worse and worse. People are always in a hurry and not looking. If I am correct there were four accidents this week alone and today is only Thursday.

People please DRIVE CAREFULLY. If you are in a hurry and are late for an appointment leave earlier, otherwise what is the difference if you arrive at your destination a few minutes later.

The Villages Daily Sun today in the Local Section in a small paragraph or two near the end of that section lists 3 accidents on Wednesday and this does not include the one in front of the Villages Charter Elementary on CR466 and CR103.

So at least five accidents so far this week in this area.

If you are ordering a tank, I'll have one. Or maybe a reenforced hummer!

Two women were transported by ambulance from the scene of an accident at about noon today on County Road 466 in front of Southern Trace shopping plaza.

One female driver was transported to Leesburg Regional Medical Center. Also, one female passenger in a silver Ford Fusion was transported to Munroe Regional Medical Center in Ocala, according to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office which investigated the accident.

The Ford Fusion had been westbound on CR466 and went to make a U-turn to go east on CR466 at Preston Drive. There was a car traveling eastbound on CR466 and the driver decided to make a left turn onto the northbound lane of Preston Drive. That car was not involved in the accident. A black Mercedes was also traveling eastbound on CR466 and was not visible to the driver of the Ford Fusion turning east therefore, the Ford Fusion hit the black Mercedes, according to the sheriff’s office.
