Default Wooden Bat League games played at The Villages

I went to one of the Wooden Bat League games at The Villages High School. It was very enjoyable. The league is a Central Florida Baseball league for College players. Two of the coaches were former major leaguers Frank Viola and Davey Johnson.

Below is a Video of what went on at the games.

Default Sissy games

I read this article regarding regular baseball. Whcih reminded me of our two grandsons playing baseball here. They used to come up, hook up with some other guys and play ball at Saddlebrook. Just a regular sandlot game we played as kids.

They will no longer come to the Villages for their summertime outings. Seems there is very little for them to do. Everything including soccer is designed for little tykes.

Both grandsons play on the respective jr high and senior high school teams. They also both play football, baseball and paintball.

None of which are offered at the Villages summer camp. They both agreed, once you get over the age of 14, the Villages no longer has an interest in your summer fun. They used to have more fun planning on their own what they would do up here.

Hmmmm ........ sandlot baseball, now there's an original idea for kids to do
during the summer. Wonder why the district couldn't put together a few games. Maybe some REAL soccer matchs and paintball in the woods.

Seems a lot more fun than painting a piece of glass when your 14-16.

Neat bumper sticker. Went like this: "It's God's job to judge terrorists. Our job is to arrange the meeting!"

Be a gentleman, remove your hat/cap when entering a building and dining out!

There is a batting cage by the miniature golf course off Rolling Acres Road. Next to the VFW.
