You put in a new roll, it filled the holder, side to side, sometimes even a little difficult to pull off a length from a new roll due to the tight fit. Kept shrinking over the years by just 1/4 of an inch at a time, then by a full 1/2", has gradually been reduced to about 4 inch width by some brands. Nice to be retired, we have time to notice weights, widths, and volumes. Check out a HALF GALLON of ice cream these days, and the newest one I noticed, a "half gallon" of bleach is no longer a "half gallon", the math books really need to be "updated". How many ounces in a pound can of coffee now ? 14 ounces ? 12 ? 10 ?

Toilet paper is shrinking because more and more people are tightarses or anal retentive. They don’t need the wider paper.

If we keep buying it they’ll keep selling it

Bought today, same price, same size packaging now it's 7.4 ounces with 12 cookies! I had to toss my cookies after seeing that! (pun intended). I have seen breakfast cereal "shrink" an ounce or 2 in the same size box and other similar "shrinks" but this one took the cake, er, cookie!

That's not shrinkflation, the size of. each cooking is the same ...0.6 oz, that is simply severe gouging.

Individual size potato chips state .25oz. This is equal to 5 potato chips. That cost is crazy.

Sounds like you got the sugar-free variety by mistake. The regular cookies are 12.4 ounces, and the sugar-free are 8 ounces. You can get both at Publix, they're right next to each other.

For juuuust about $6 you can make your own chocolate chip oatmeal cookies, and you'll get approximately 60 cookies of the same size as the Voortman 20-pack. Even better, you can make a few rolls of cookie dough and freeze them in waxed paper - and then slice off however many cookies you want, and bake them in your toaster oven. Fresh hot oatmeal cookies any time you like, for less than the cost of over-processed wastefully packaged mediocre tasting store-bought cookies.
