Default Sliding screen doors for the garage VS roll down screens

I’m looking to replace our current sliding screens or change to the roll down screen. Any suggestions on advantages of either? Any recommendations on installers?

We have sliding screen panels as we can open/close one to take out the trash, etc without worrying about the cats getting out.

We used Sunesta about 5 yrs. ago for three lanai screens. Highly recommend! For garage doors and front door we used Cook Aluminium also 5 years ago. Ask forThumper, YES Thumper he is the owner. We have not had one issue with either company nor their products.

We use the garage to go in/out of the house quite a bit during any day. We chose the sliders. To slide a single panel 2 feet over to walk out takes much less time and doesn't have to open up the entire garage to insects and geckos every single time as a full lift power door does. Depends on how you use your garage for home entry/exit. Also cheaper and less mechanical parts to go bad if that matters. It's a personal preference. Most homes I notice have the power roll-up but I think that may be because that is all you see advertised and at various shows because dealer makes more $$$$. If you rarely use your garage to enter/exit your home probably a power roll-up is more convenient. We have had our slider almost 3 years and zero problems. Got it from Michelle's Screens. Some people complain about the sliding track getting bent but that is usually caused by turning the steering wheel of the car when it is ON TOP OF the track. We never had that issue because we RTFM. Also the one we got hangs from the top so even when/if the bottom track gets dirty it doesn't cause the slider to bind as those with wheels on the bottom might do.

Love the rollup screen. Clean look. No locks. Remote for going and coming.
