Default Golf Cart

I have a question about gas vice electric golf carts.. Which is the best to have? When we live in TV before we had an electric but we are now planning on moving back and are trying to decide on which to buy. We will be on the sumter side and we know how much TV have grown so what's the best?

Sakura, There have been several discussions on your question over the past year. This may be a starting point for you. https://www.talkofthevillages.com/sm....html#msg12604
Good question, but you'll find the audience somewhat mixed and all you'll be able to do is hear the pro's and con's of each. George

It depends on what you want it to do for you. I live in Mallory Square and have neighbors with electric carts, when they played at Nancy Lopez, they just barely made it home before their batteries ran out. It was just getting dark when they got back, if they had used their lights probably would not have made it. Personally, I perfer gas as we do a lot of cruising around. A few times we have put over 75 miles just cruising TV. Our first and second cart was electric and they served us all right, but that was nearly 5 years ago. TV has grown a lot since then down to 466A now and going on to 44 by Wildwood. Buena Vista Blvd is already to 44 but isn't open yet.

We have both. We use the gas for long trips in TV and the electric other times like going to buy groceries or going to the square. The electric cart is my favorite but we feel the gas is necessary when traveling across 466 and playing 9 holes of golf.
