It's the right hand lane that I see making the most mistakes by NOT turning when they should and cutting off the person in the left lane as they try to exit the circle. The right lane yields to the left. If you're crossing dashed lines that are leading out of the circle, you're wrong, the left lane has the right away there. I'm afraid you may be giving others the opportunity to say..WTF...about your driving.

I personally haven't seen any sore laden elderly people at my pool or any of the restaurants I frequent, but I am sure you were grossed out.

I say how about the younger folks who get in the pool with sexually transmitted diseases we can't see; Herpes, Chlamydia. etc.etc. etc......WTF?

Don't mess with old people.

So, only young people have STDs

Gat0r 12-23-2013 09:43 PM

What the F**k. You can get a mrsa infection from pools when you use a chair a handrail or a towel that has been recently used by a contaminated person. You cannot get STD's from anything but sex with a infected person. The rules say anyone with a communicable disease
cannot use the pool.

Who's the patrol guard?

Suzi 12-24-2013 01:32 AM

WOW. People sure have short fuses here. The sick person entering the pool could have been told how risky it was for him to enter that pool. For his own sake he should not enter for fear of what HE could catch. The person in the restaurant should have been told, kindly, that it was embarrassing for the ill man AND the other customers to observe an unhealthy limb and perhaps the bathroom would have been a better/proper place for a dressing change. People sometimes just don't think. They don't mean bad by it, they just don't understand all the implications of what they do. God help us - it surely will be one of use some day!

The eeeewwww factor here is off the charts for me! I'm not going to the pool or any restaurants or anywhere....or at least until this memory fades, which will be about 10am this morning.

graciegirl 12-24-2013 07:53 AM

I have not seen anyone entering the pool with sores in the seven years now I have lived here. I swim regularly and don't have a home pool.

I have not seen anyone change anyone's dressing in a public place.

I think when it is something so rare......if, well so rare. We need not use it as a way to point out the frailities of people as they age.

We all are aging, will age and then we will stop.

To SOMEONE, to a few, uncaring and insensitive people we are EACH OF US stupid and elderly. We should not treat each other here in that way.

I think that part of the O.P.s reason for posting had to do with the issue of some being Elderly.

THAT is what I think.

THAT ****es me off. We aren't supposed to draw attention to the other's weakness and difficulties if we can help it.

Turn the situation around

Sounds logical to me, Suzie but have you ever witnessed a person belong told they were wrong about anything? They become defensive......like you are the one that is wrong and I'm sure if they were told not to change their bandage in the restaurant they would post on here how rude the restaurant personnel was to them and they would never go back. People who do wrong always have a way of turning the situation around to make the other person look bad. As for the person in the pool, all one has to do is to go into the rec center and tell the staff in there of the problem. They will handle it. That way there is no confrontation between residence.

I agree with all of what you said. It is especially difficult to confront someone who is doing something so brainless and have it be effective.

Sorry Gracie......I can't agree with you on this one. It is a public health issue and rules need to be followed, Aging or not. They could have had the decency to go into the restroom to change the dressing, or better yet do it at home. Someone should have been with that person who knew right from wrong. Better yet, the restaurant manager should have been notified and they could have directed them to the restroom. Why complain on here if you are not going to speak up to change things? The situation could have been handled very tactfully if the manager was notified.
