Works great. My Villages app on my Android plays WVLG for a short while and then stops.

I have the same problem. It plays for 30 seconds and then cuts out.

I removed the App from my phone and then reinstalled it and we are in good shape now. The same exact problem as yours stopped. :)

Thanks. I have tried that (several times) with no improvement. I sent a note to the app developer with no response.

I sometimes now listen to WVLG via bluetooth in my car on my way to and from work. I have an 1 hour, sometimes 1 hour 15 minute commute each way, so I have plenty of time.

Just wondering why the stream sometimes cuts out frequently while I am driving? Some days the stream will stay active for 35 or 40 minutes before cutting out, and other times it cuts out every 5 or 6 minutes.

I'm listening to WVLG right now on my PC. Just played "Losing My Religion" by R.E.M. This song was released in 1991, so 1990's songs must now be on their playlist. Definitely trying to appeal to a younger audience.

I just noticed last night that the latest version of The Villages app now streams WVLG live. Much better sound quality than the AM broadcast with its 60’s tinny thin sound. It’s still not streaming on iHeart Radio which would make listening a lot more convenient. It’s a little progress.

I would listen to the station a lot more if the sound quality was better. Hello Villages are you listening? We know you’re out there reading all the web traffic! Time to upgrade the radio station to modern times.

I completely agree.

I've got the Sirius/XM app on my iPhone and a wireless JBL speaker for my cart - huge choice for music.

Are there extra charges for streaming while not on a wireless connection?

If you're listening through the Sirius/XM app, and NOT on Wi-Fi, you're using cellular data. Depending on your plan, this could be significant, depending on how long you listen each day.

I agree. After a while the 50's and 60's gets OLD

WVLG is now broadcasting on 102.7 FM. Their signal is strong in Lake Deaton, near Brownwood. The fidelity is much better than their AM 640 signal.
