Correct, but we exclusively use Xfinity Mobil and have no landline service.

Spectrum internet only, $39.99 for the basic ~250 mps and they auto upgraded me to 400 mps no additional charge (no need for multi gig). You need to ask yourself how much streaming speed do you REALLY need and what TV channels do you REALLY watch and chuck the home phone and any cable boxes (most TV has streaming via apps. now). If you need a basic TV package most recommend YouTube Tv. If you simply like the oldie TV shows (Andy Griffith and Matt Dylon Gunsmoke) try Pluto TV streaming for free.

Get Xfinity NOW at $30/month all-in 100mb.
Get a Google TV (like Hisense U8N) or Google stream box and load the Google Freeplay app.
Freeplay has160 free channels including local/world news with Haystack/Pluto/Tubi/Plex app.

OP, you should also consider your cell phone service. Xfinity Mobile has a great deal for people who have Xfinity internet service. So, if you switch your internet provider to Quantum or another provider, I believe that you will no longer be eligible for the Xfinity Mobile cell phone service.

Are there people who do still have "landlines" ?

Yes, but an Xfinity phone is technically a digital phone and not a true, analog landline. I have one.

We have never buffered with two TV’s streaming simultaneously, so the 150 seems to work just fine for our usage.

I can't imagine how a 2 or 3 person household, could need more than 50Mpbs, unless there were 2 computers, doing heavy gaming, while downloading HD movies.

Statement total:
$29623
That includes ultimate TV (not very ultimate)

If I went to choice + 500mbs and something like YT TV I'd still be in the mid $200
Advice please

Get rid of TV and home phone. Pay monthly for internet only ( around $70 give or take) and purchase some apps which will be your “TV” Paramount +, Peacock and Hulu are good places to start. Tubi is a free app with a bunch of channels and movies.

Our Spectrum just went from $185 to $225 for TV & Internet. I dumped the TV and will switch to YouTube TV. Cost will be about $140 with the same basics TV coverage.

This is true however there are now a lot of cellphone companies who offer unlimited everything for $25-30 a month. Most of them use Verizon network.
Streaming does not make sense until your Cable Specials expire and then it makes a lot of sense. Maybe keep Xfinity internet and phone and dump the TV service. That is what we did with Spectrum. Oh by the way Spectrum customer service is way way better than Xfinity!!!

I canceled Xfinity yesterday. Never used the phone. Wanted internet only. Best they could do for Gigabit + was $141/month with tax fees and modem rental. Switched to Quantum fiber 950mb for $35/month (no price change as long as I don't change plans--yeah right). I have YTTV and am now paying around $100/month total (saving just over $100/month).

We have my desktop, where I watch Netflix, browse, participate in social media and do some non-graphic text gaming.

We have my laptop, which hubby uses for work and golf.

We have my printer, which is connected to the network so we can print from the computer, the laptop, or either of our cell phones, anywhere in the country.

We have the TV in the living room, which hubby watches.

We have the TV in the "man-cave" which hubby watches when he's in there.

We have my tablet, which I use to read in bed at night, check the morning news when I wake up, and as an alarm clock.

We have the computer and one of the TVs on all day, most days. The rest of the stuff is used on and off throughout the day, except the printer which is used only a couple times every week.

It's nice to know that it is ALL available, ALL the time, and I don't have to juggle devices just to make sure that I can do what I want or need to do at any given moment.

We have 200mbps, and it works seamlessly.

I wouldn't mind switching to Quantum. Unfortunately it's not available in my part of the Villages yet. But $50/month for Xfinity internet is fine. We run everything on 200mbps with no problems at all.

Xfinity pulled that crap with us also when I canceled the triple bundle and wanted internet only. My response was cancel everything and see ya! We then called back the next day and requested new customer internet service only under my wife’s name (she kept her last name because of her established business) and they gave us the Gigabit + service for $60 per month with our own modem. You have to play games with them to get deals. There are no loyalty deals for being a good long term customer.

For cell phone service use Tello Mobile (T-mobile network)...$25 full up.
Unlimited talk/text with 5GB data - $14/month.
