Gracie. you are a hoot!!!!!!!

Keith - I was under the impression they hadn't been in TV before. If that is true, "if they blink, their time will be over"" in two days.

Let them soak up the music, dancing and other fun activities as I don't know what they will prefer. :)

I know I would get crazy to try and do everything in two days. :)

I think KEITH hasn't been here before. His friends are renting and he is visiting. It is only 45 minutes from Orlando.

Keith...are you...y'know...younger? You sound a little, y'know younger. I mean, are your friends, like, your parents?

Just wondering. If you are of an age, you will be delighted, overwhelmed and plenty busy seeing all there is to see and talking to everyone.

Even if you aren't 55 plus, you should love it.

Except for the Trolley ride suggestion which we will do along with the boat ride at Lake Sumter ....... it SOUNDS PRETTY DULL.

There must be more to do than golf and ride around in a golf cart.

...keithwand, I see YOUR SUMMER HOME is Harbor Springs, Michigan.

....Yup..Purdy DULL in da' Villages.......Compared to Harbor Springs ..we gots nuttin', hear.

No Dudley's Deck....No Birchwood Farms..No True North..No L'Arbre Croche...
AND....NO POLISH FOOD like the LEGS INN.

...............I'm Still missing the "private parties" with ..The Harbor Springs, Michigan "KEELHAULERS" Band. (Sorry to hear about the passing of George Menzi this past March.) Nub's Nob is still toasting to his memory..What a guy..

Mr Fixit- you know your stuff about Harbor but missed DLB and Knot Just a Bar at Bay Harbor!
Legs In- great place to have a beer and sit on the glider watching the water.
Dudleys- expanded last year.
Birchwood- may move there in the future, who knows.

Gracie- why do you think I'm y'know younger. Younger than who?
Actually I'm 58; wife is 64 and our friends renting are 60 and 70.
However my wife might agree with you somewhat!

Be sure to tell us.

I really thought you were a troll. I am sorry. You really fooled me.

We'll do the trolley and boat ride; dancing/ drinking in the square; Katie Belles if we are allowed in; carting around town if our friends house they are renting for the month has a cart and just checking things out. Sumter Village and Spanish Springs.
Lots to do in a few days.Think we may even drive over in our Inca Gold (Yellow) Thunderbird so my wife and her friend can drive around with their top down. The cars not theirs.

:1rotfl:

I think your time will go faster than you can imagine.

IMHO - I found meeting people in TV the most fascinating part.

Enjoy your time and have fun.

They visited other friends last year and had a great time so decided to come for a month this year.

Dining suggestions?

We just finished reading Leisureville which I'm sure parts were exaggerated in order to sell more books. It was an interesting read.

I remember this post, Keith, like it was yesterday and I think I gave you a bit of a hard time.

I am so glad you came, you saw, and you kowtowed.

Love having you here with the rest of us. AND I hope now you are glad I thought you were younger. You ARE phunny too.

Ask your friends.

You will find more things to do than you can possibly fit into 2 days!
Check out the neighborhood pools, actually put your swim suits on and chat with the locals. The Bus tour, Trolly tour, evenings at the square, all "mandatory"
Do try to get on a golf cart for 1/2 a day. We truly enjoyed just getting lost in the golf cart and all the friendly people who redirected us!!
Do buy a $5.00 map. You will not believe how BIG the villages is until you see it on paper.
Each of the squares has a different flavor, so check them all out. Farmer's markets on Sat (if you are there) are great fun and just TALK with residents. Everyone who told us they had any regrets about moving there said "they regretted not moving earlier".
It is a very unique and wonderful place!!
You will enjoy yourselves and find it hard to leave after 2 days!

Except for the Trolley ride suggestion which we will do along with the boat ride at Lake Sumter it sounds pretty dull.

I really thought there would be all kinds of suggestions from residents i.e. folks coming to Orlando I'd suggest visiting museums, take in a play at the numerous amount of theaters, walk around Lake Eola and the fountain at night, visit Winter Park and take the boat ride there, Morse Musuem (Tiffany), Leu Gardens, Baldwin Park, Magic game if playing and the list goes on.

There must be more to do than golf and ride around in a golf cart.

Sorry it sounds dull. This isn't Orlando
