Are you kidding - people from Michigan - they are everywhere! Even next door. (We're Ohio State fans). We (Buckeyes) are everywhere, too. There are even Univ of Cinn fans in The Villages. And really, not much negative about the Villages, but check it out. Do a Lifestyle Preview Visit (thevillages.com) and then if you can, rent for a month or more and really experience it. That's if you haven't already succumbed and bought already.

Rent a place with a golf cart. Much cheaper off-season (anything other than Jan-April).

Default We are From Mich Also

Hi,

We are from Mich and have been at TV for 4 visits now. We stayed at TV couple times and across street at StoneCrest. StoneCrest has some great houses for the money but we found very unfriendly so came back to TV to look.
Were ready to sell up here and buy but came down with cancer when got back from Florida last Spring so on temp hold.

What I would say is now that your on this web sight just watch the new posts everyday and you will answer most of your question without repeating what has been said in past.

Have to take certain people with a grain of salt and some you have to get to know are just kidding around, but most will answer your questions very honestly.

Also, check the quick links above that will help you look up certain links you could be interested in.

Keep in touch, you can sent personal mail to any one on here also for any personal info you don't want to share.

If you have any questions for me (we are not there yet but have enough knowledge now that we know it will be the place for us if I can get rid of the cancer.

We're from Michigan. Spent most of our lives in the suburbs, Oakland County. 2 1/2 years in the thumb, Harbor Beach, 8 years Grand Rapids & now 9 1/2 years in the Villages. Sister is in Troy & SIL in Harrison Township. Lots of Michiganders here.
Of course now we are called Michigoners.

There are so many places to eat and so much to do it will boggle your mind. You might try The Villages Daily Sun website at http://www.thevillagesdailysun.com/. They include activities schedule and recreation news.

No that name's not familiar. There are alot of restaurants here. Here's the link for the Villages Gourmet Club. Alot of info about the restaurants. If the link doesn't work, just copy & paste it.
