Welcome! We moved from GA also. As a former military wife I love The Villages. It's kinda like living in a military community...everyone is from somewhere else and we all look out for each other!

We are having a home built in the Village of Fernandina and will be closing in September. What Village is your mother looking to buy in? I am sure she will love it.

You do not know this yet. BUT my crystal ball tells me that after your visit here WITH YOUR MOTHER....and the fact that you ARE 55, and the fact that it is so hot in August and September and you will become very thirsty and drink cold drinks a LOT....well what I know is this..

You will come back and live here yourself.

She is looking at All. She wants today a new Fairmont with Expanded Kitchen.

Priorities:

1.Privacy

2.Space

3. Kitchen

We have lived in so many houses-anything is possible.

We will be staying in Marriott Suites overnight and then 3 days in a Cabana?

I will figure this out as I am somewhat detail-oriented.

I live close to downtown in old duplex where rent is cheap.

I go to school at The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.

Default It's a small world!

We live in Houston (Clear Lake) and have our design meeting on 8/26. We are from West Virginia originally. Maybe our paths will cross while we're there. Have a safe trip and best of luck in your mother's home search!

houstonscottio, Welcome to TOTV and good luck to your mom in her home search. You may also become a TV wannabee/gonnabee. I have traveled to Houston several times in the past few years as my company's corporate office is located in Houston on Old Spanish Trail near the Univ. of Houston campus. I was just in Houston 3 months ago for meetings at my company's office. Anyway, this is the place to find out about moving to and living in The Villages.
