This cat was a giving cat, he was a healer. When someone in the family was ill, he would lay by the person and give his warmth until the person got better. When my daughter tore her meniscus the cat stayed with her everyday until she could move around. He did so many kind things for us .... right up to when he couldn’t any more.

I had a beautiful cat hanging around and we for the most part enjoyed each other’s company. She was a stray that I felt sorry for. Well I would rub on, and this cat would lay there all relaxed and purr away for along time till I would nearly fall asleep. That is normal cat behaviour and you did the right thing to stop before kitty gets too excited.I

My wife is a "cat whisperer" and has an amazing connection to animals, even big cats, which was one of the things that attracted me to her. She got my very obstinate cat from scratching our couch when we got married just by looking at him and giving a stern warning. I was always a soft touch.
