Default neighborhood rec center vs regional rec center

Is physical size the biggest difference between the neighborhood rec center vs the regional rec center? Do they host the same type of activities or different type of activities?

I'm trying to learn.

Here's something with additional info regarding the different types of rec centers: Neighborhood, Village, and Regional. Click on the links on the left under Recreation Centers for brief descriptions of each:

The Villages - Recreation Centers

Hope that helps!

The Regional Centers have larger rooms inside and more courts outside.

They may have a 'special' feature like gyms or platform tennis that are not in every Regional Center.

I think a big difference is the Sports Pools which generally have a scheduled activity - water volleyball, Exercise classes, etc and not really good for lounging aout a pool.
