What I did up north was add an antenna in the attic and ran a coax cable to a Tablo receiver. Tablo uses your wifi connection to communicate with any smart tv, firestick or Roku in the house and you just have to open the Tablo app on any television in the house to watch local channels. The key is to position the antenna using something like Antenna-Point 'https://download.cnet.com/Antenna-Point/3000-31711_4-77925926.html'

The nice thing about Tablo is that you can connect a portable hard drive to it in order to record shows. The cost was about $60 for the antenna, $40 for the portable hard drive and approx $75 for the Tablo unit.

Most have moved from VHF frequencies to UHF also.

You can have Tom install a good digital antenna in the Attic then attach that one antenna wire to a "tablo" box ($100 Amazon). "Tablo" box will send all channels to all other TVs in your home as long as they have a Roku or fire stick or are Smart TVs. I live between 466a and 44 and receive 55 Orlando channels with my attic antenna and my "Tablo" box. Of course you still need to have internet for 45 to $50 monthly and I choose to subscribe to Netflix for $9 a month for one TV plan.

If you sign up for Youtube TV you'll get the OTA stations out of Orlando. Great thing about YTTV is that if you travel back to RI you can update your location and get the RI stations while there, or keep the Orlando.

If you want to put antenna in attic you can't have the foil backed sheathing installed...you will not get any signals through it.

Streaming/ internet service is dependent on location. They all have their issues so good luck.

I got the sling box mixed up with Roku, Sling has an antenna for local channels. I'm leaning toward You tube as i can take the account and use it back north and get local channels. In reality, i watch a very limited amount of channels. Looking for the ones I like is an issue. I have tried the antenna route up north when the power is out and cable is down, and its spotty at best. As others have said, very positional to be effective.

I have a DB4E in the attic pointed at Orlando. Only thing I don't get is NBC. They are a VHF signal and my antenna is UHF. The choices to get NBC are a second UHF antenna to get the UHF NBC signal from Ocala, or VHF antenna pointed at Orlando.
The people at Antennas Direct are very helpful and emailed me a very detailed map of what my options were.
