Default Does anyone know if TV has an Emergency Preparedness

Plan in place? If so, where? Friends in Del Webb in Arizona are much
participatory in their planning for terrorist attacks, weather (ie Hurricane
here in TV), mass medical issue, etc. It "feels" as if they have some
government grant or monies available. I'm just wondering after watching
the Irene coverage, what is in place...or not...in TV in case of a 'massive'
emergency. Thanks.

That's a great question...seems noone has answers though. Katia (sp?) is coming now according to the weather people...it's "something to watch" and it will take a week to get closer to the U.S.

Default Thanks PTurner for the Link...However

It looks to be more of an in-house manual for maintenance and growth of
The Village fire ad security systems...involving Admin and Human Resources, etc. I was looking for something that showed Villagers what to expect in terms of potentially threatening situations...errr, like a Hurricane. gas explosion, flood, terrorist attack, etc. Guess it doesn't yet exist here.

There is a CERT program that has been steadily building over the past few years. Could not find their own website, but, here is info that is relevant...

I think they were very well prepared to handle the emergency with the tornado that hit The Villages. It did very widespread damage to many homes here. Relief centers were set up and everyone was well taken care of.

It's an old plan but I think it still works.

TV does have plans in place and personnel trained to implement them. A key part of the plans is CERT. Their TV web site is http://certofthevillages.org/.

Default Thanks Villages 07, that is what I was looking for!

Would be great if they 9cert) had a site on this forum to update neighbors and newbies. Worked in Admin at a major medical center and these kinds of
plans were always front and center for the cities in the area served.
Between Irene and the earthquake was just thinking about it!!
