I agree, The Villages is indeed awesome!

Lots of good advice here. Definitely explore in your golf cart to see the neighborhoods. The Villages GPS app is great to get directions in a car and a golf cart. Very inexpensive app that will saving you from getting lost. Definitely check out all the town centers to see where you may want to be. We love The feel of Sumter Landing but everyone is different. I agree take the trolley rides to get some history of the place. Go down to the frontier, also know as the Fenney area. That is where all the new building is going on so you should drive around the area. The Villages is so huge that you may be overwhelmed at first, so focusing on separate areas and rec centers each day may make it more manageable. Best of luck on your vacation and plans, and talk to a lot of people, they will be happy to give you their ideas and opinions.

As others have said, ride the trolleys. There are 3 different trolley tours leaving from the sales offices at Spanish Springs, Lake Sumter Landing and Brownwood. The tour takes about 2 hours.

Open houses are held every day in The Villages. The Daily Sun newspaper will have a list of open houses, and open houses are also listed on The Villages web site (for houses being sold by Villages sales agents).

Don't hesitate to ask questions of Villagers. Most are very happy to share their experiences with potential Villagers.

If you get lost while riding the golf cart, just pull over to the side and take out The Villages map. Betting within 5 minutes someone will stop and ask if you need directions.

Sabal Chase is a great location. . . close to Lake Sumter Landing. Enjoy your visit!
