Default Fitness training

We are renting in Caroline for the month of February. Does each community center have a fitness room - treadmills, circuit of resistance machines etc - if not, where do you suggest we go? I believe there isn't a YMCA nearby - am I right?

Also, to join general activities/clubs , do we just turn up or are we meant to pre-register?

Thanks in advance for any info.

Only Laurel Manor, Mulberry and Colony have fitness centers. There is also the Wellness Center in Spanish Springs which is more of a full service center, with classes, etc in addition to workout equipment. You can join as a member and pay a flat rate, or pay per visit. There are also a few fitness centers in the area outside of TV.

For most TV clubs and activities you just show up, unless indicated otherwise in the Rec. Center News circular, which comes out each week on Thursday and is available at all rec centers; also included in the Daily Sun if you get home delivery. (I know that you can also find the Rec Center News weekly circular online, although I'm not sure which website - check thevillages.com, thevillages.net, or the Daily Sun's website - anybody know?).

Do you know if residents can go to the fitness centers (the one at Colony Cottage is closest to us) free of charge? Or is there an added fee? What about guests? Thanks!

Tracy, residents can go to Laurel Manor, Colony or Mulberry and join by the month, 3 months, 6 months or by the day. Last costs I have are:
1 month - $44.39 Single -- couple $85.98
3 months $119.16 Single -- couple $200.00
6 months $210.28 Single -- Couple $411.22
Resident/Guest members by the day is $4.67 -- weekly $18.69
Sales Tax is applied to these memberships
These were '09 costs, not sure if they have changed by now.

I hope this answers your questions.

Default Pilates and Zumba questions

I see there are pilates classes in Lake Miona, Chatham, and Laurel Manor with zumba classes in Allamanda. Are these type of classes fee based or are they free? I like both.
