Yes, it’s like a 2x4 piece of lumber, not actually 2x4.

I bought ours from Ace in Wildwood as well. Much less expensive than what Munns wanted to charge. Vertical height was a bit shorter than the original filter but length and width were exact. I also upgraded from a MERV 8 to 11.

Default Furnace Filter Fit

Bought Furnace Filter from Ace. Even though it says it is the same size, it isn't. I now order from DiscountFilters.com. Fits perfect.

IMHO you really need to use the filter that was designed for your specific unit...and you certainly don't want to go cheap on the filters, remember you're breathing this air in....

we get our replacements from DiscountFilters.com: Refrigerator Water Filters, Furnace Filters & More

Mine says the same thing but doesn’t fit. Look on the filter & look for the EXACT MEASUREMENTS. That’s what you use. Home Depot is the only place that have my exact measurements.

You might try calling SECO. They have an affiliate who sells furnace filters (and other filters) at greatly reduced prices.

I'm glad you found the right filter. My AC unit is a Carrier. The original filter stated 16x20x4 and I purchased that size at Lowes. It didn't fit. I talked to the AC tech and he told me the Carrier actually made the opening slightly smaller so you have to buy their brand. I made a couple of "field adjustments" and made the filter fit.
I will check into the Air Filters Delivered site.

You can buy the 16 x 20 x 4 inch filters made by Flanders at ACE Hardware for 18 dollars each. They will fit your Carrier unit.

Default HVAC filters

Filters for Carrier unit 19x20x4 FILXXFNC0021 MERV 8 info on existing filter

Ordered from Filters America - Filters America

They have sizes to fit any size HVAC unit

ordered 4 filters for 89.95 with free shipping works out to about 22.50 each almost half what some places are asking.

If your concerned about having so many on hand extra and storage I am sure you have a neighbor that can split the order with you.
