Thank goodness there are couple of German restaurants near TV. Guess I'll be asking too much if I asked for a Pilsener draft, that I have to wait 10 min. to get? Drip...drip. Or a glass of apple cider?

I have yet to find a German beer here in the States that tastes anything like it does in Germany.

Thank you for turning us on to Yalaha Bakery. We went today and bought two of nearly every pastry they make. We took it to our first Baby Boomers Club meeting and it was a hit! We didn't share our apple pie cake though. We kept that for ourselves. I'll let you know tomorrow if it is good or not.

Default Quality of German Beer in the US

Someone told me that the commercial beers in the US all have to be pasturized and that this process changes the taste considerably. I know the beer we drink in germany is not, ergo all beer here has an expiration date on the bottle; sure is delicious! - BJ

Probieren sie Hacienda Country Club Dienstag fuer Deutsche-Ungarn Abend. Sauerbraten, Spaetzle, Blau Kraut sind gut.

We ate at the Biergarten restaurant at Epcot World Showcase last year. They had a buffet which we found excellent (hey, it's Disney!) and the musicians were very entertaining.
