Look to purchase a cart outside the bubble. The delivery time is probably no different, but generally the cost is lower. These outside the bubble companies often take care of your cart's maintenance by coming to your home. If the cart needs more work, and must be taken to their facility, it they may, but not always, require a very minor fee. I would not worry about the cost of maintaining the golf cart if you purchase from an outside company.

On a separate note, you might want to subscribe to Estatesales.net. This web site can be very helpful. When an owner or descendant sell a home for any number of reasons, they often put most or all of the contents, including golf carts, up for sale. You can get some excellent deals there.

Insurance (mine, anyway) will include this as part of your golf cart policy. As I recall the cost to add it was negligible.

Buying a used cart not very practicle these days due to demand issues. Payed $12,500 for new Yamaha with most of TV accesories one year ago. In todays times it was an investment. Bet I can sell it for what I paid, except that I will need to replace it.

Pay close attention to the seats. Almost everyone in TV has upgraded seats. They are fablulouse for runnnig around TV. I personally do not like them. Most do not have a side bar and when I am golfing and when there is a slope to either the right or the left, I can slide to the point where in I have to HOLD on to prevent me from sliding out. Seats do have retractable arm rests. Do not know of anyone who wants to lift and lower this arm rest everytime they get in and out of a cart. Will switch over to factory upgraded seats.

Look out of TV for best prices and possibly better availability.

I picked up my re-conditioned golf cart (from The Villages Golf Cars) in early November. At that time I was told that the loaners would only be provided 2 months before your pick up date. So if you ordered right now, and the projected pick up date was March 1 2022, you would only get a loaner starting on January 1 2022. Of course, things might have changed again since I was told this!

Keep in mind 2-seat or 4-seat. If company is expected often then a 4 seat may be the best. (ie: a 2-seat convertible).
Electric NO. The Villages has gotten just to big.
Yamaha gas is by far the most popular.
Stay with: Yamaha / Club car / EZ-Go
Stay away from: Par Car / Atomic

Executive golf is free.
You pay for Championship golf in the clubhouse and they accept credit cards.

Well ??? Not really. There are no ADDITIONAL green's fees for residents BUT in reality, we all DO pay to play the executives as part of our amenity fees go toward their maintenance. The ADDITIONAL cart path fee also detracts from the notion that the executives are FREE ……
