There is a Golf Club but it is people who already play golf - however, if you call the contact person he may know of a beginner club for your level and possibly know someone who teaches. His name is Jim Annos 750-5427. I hope he can help you.

Harry,

You can do a forum search on "lessons" and see some prior threads.

Here's one of them:

The best way to get started is to take some lessons, you can go to Arnold Palmers or Tree top which also gives lessons. You can take a group lesson which is more reasonable, and if you need clubs, to start out with, you may pick up a set a a garage sale or look in the classifieds in the Daily Sun. Good luck and have fun!

Contact The Villages Golf Academy regarding their:

New to Golf Program

Getting Started

Our New to Golf Program is perfect if you have never played before or if you are someone coming back to the game after a long layoff. You will be taught the basics of golf in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. You will also participate in Alumni Practice Clinics with our instructors which will have you playing golf on your own before you know it.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And thank you from the bottom of our hearts for asking and not just wandering on to a course like so many others do daily. I have a knack for having the tee time right after most of them.

Just remember you don't have to play well to play quickly - and please fix your ball marks and rake the bunkers. Do these few things and we'll all love you.
