Im a single who visited the Villages 2 years ago driving from south Fla. I loved the place & definately wiill retire there when the time comes. You will say that Im lurking because only now I signed up, but I just read & learn, & I am curious. There are 75000 people who live in the Villages but only 7000 belong and many are like me that want to live there someday but dont now, & most of the messages come from a few people who come & go. The few people who do most of the messages, are they like the 75000 who live there & why dont more belong. Thats my question, thank you.

Why don't more belong? I'd guess that many don't use the internet, or haven't searched. Also, thevillages.com (official website of TV) likely gets more hits than here, this is more the inside scuttlebutt board. Great info here.

My guess would be there is so much to do here that internet messaging is not on the top of many peoples list
