Default Hello from San Jose

Hello Villagers,

We visited The Villages two weeks ago. Looks like a great place to retire.

Originally from the North Shore of Mass. Doing the high tech tour: Boston-> Austin-> Boston -> Austin -> San Jose. God willing, hoping to retire within 3 years. Save me a house.

Happy Holidays to all!

Tom

Hi Tom. Plenty of New Englanders down here! Where in Mass did you live? I'm originally from NH but lived in the Andover area for many years. Happy Thianksgiving!

Neighbor across street was a San Jose Fireman, across street from them a couple from Cupertino.

I know the way to San Jose. Lived in Belmont 1984-1986. And Rohnert Park (south of Santa Rosa) from late 1991-1996. With a month in Pleasanton waiting to find an apartment near work in Belmont and living with my older brother and sister-in-law in Pleasanton.

You'll love it here. Moved from Attleboro MA to Village of Pennecamp in 2010. No regrets. I grew up in Somerville, MA and husband grew up in Quincy, MA. Lots of Northeasters here.

In TV You will get a lot more bang for the buck in every way than you do in San Jose.

And there are always plenty of resales! Looking forward to retiring in 54 days and moving to the house we bought in Bonita earlier this year. Although my roots are in Texas, I have lived in MA for lasts 19 years - 6 in Tewksbury for and the last 13 in Reading.

Not really; will pay a lot more to live in TV as we are covered by Prop. 13 in CA.

You should just make it before the buildout.

Moving to TV in 2months from Concord in the San Francisco Bay Area. Sad to leave our beloved Bay Area yet so excited to the new experiences in Florida. We love TV and have been welcomed with open armes. Built in TV a year ago, been back and forth making it a home. Closed down a business in California, now ready to go. So so much more for your money in Florida. Hope you make the plunge.
