Default Home Watch Question for Chatham

I have searched "Home Watch" and read the threads. Many recommend a couple that doesn't service Chatham. Do any of you know of a reliable service (preferably an individual or a couple so that it's the same person / people watching my house) that you would recommend that works in that area? I close on January 15th, so I would like to get something set up as soon as possible. Thanks for your help.

I sent you a private message with a name and number of the villager who does Home Watch for us. He lives in Summerhill, which is relatively close to Chatham. We have used him for over 10 years, so obviously we are satisfied with his service.

Empty Nest, The Villages Home Property Management. I’ve used them whenever I’m not in TV. Very pleased with their service.

OP, we had a home watch through the villages back in 2013, got weekly reports that all was fine for about 5 months, then I came down to set up house for the big move. I found the master bedroom carpets wet, and for long enough that there was mold on the back of the carpets. I made enough noise that I got a full refund of all monies paid and full restoration of the damage. My point the person doing the "home watch" was not doing a complete job, so make sure you ask questions on any recommendations.

I think a lot of what they do is overkill, especially with the plumbing. I would not want someone to open my main water valve and flush the toilets on a regular basis. Too much chance to cause a leak. I think you are better off with a remote camera and maybe have someone walk through the house once a month.

I like what Empty Nest does. I can watch them through my camera. The couple who regularly look after my home when I am not here do exactly what I would do, except I wouldn’t check the sprinklers quite so often.

We have never used anyone. We have a friend that drives by once in awhile to tell us how our grass is but that is all.
