I too remember driving through TV many times in the mid-1980s, although I never envisioned living there as I was in my 20s at the time. My first actual "visit" was a couple of years ago (age 47) when we settled my mother-in-law there. We recently sold our business in Panama and we are now closing on a home in TV the end of next month (I am 49, my wife is 53). Looking forward to being there soon!

I was 63 when we bought here, but the doctor told me that I had the body of a 90 year old.
I asked him for a second opinion, so he told me that I was ugly too! http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/j...YS/rimshot.gif

Families moving in with children under 18? :22yikes:

47 at first visit - Linda was 44. Wow that was 7 years ago!

Yeah, something happens - nobody actually gets younger until they actually MOVE to TV. We were 54 when we first looked, never thought it was something that would appeal to us (after all, we were not "old.")

We bought at 55, retired at 60 and moved down for our first winter - somehow we are almost 61 - how does that happen? Anyhow, I think it is true that TV makes you younger, at least for awhile.

We are in Ohio for the summer, and because it's summer, are staying pretty active, but i have to say it's much easier to do that year-round in TV. We are truly enjoying being in Ohio for summertime, and being retired, but are also looking forward to being back in TV in September. We feel truly blessed to have found this place.

I was 46 and my husband was 50. We moved here 2 years later when he was 52 and I was 48. In hindsight, I was too young to move here. Everyone on my street by the Lopez was way older than me and we didn't have much in common. I was very lonely. 7 years later, people have moved away, passed on, etc. New people have moved in and I've made new friends at work. So not so bad now.

We first visited two years ago; I was 47. We fell in love with the place and bought.

We were 49 yrs old and that was 14 years ago... now 63 yrs old... still have not bought as we were waiting to retire. Retired now and there for a month in April 2011. We just had 2 realtors at our home yesterday and today and hoping to put home on market soon. Husband is dying to get to TV.

Now thats funny!
I am surprised by the number of "young" people in their 50's and early 60's.

Our first visit (one day) was in 2000 when I was 47 and my wife was 42. Our first LSP was in 2010 (57 and 52). We hope to purchase there within the next 2 years.
