The idea would be a continuous running shuttle, no schedule, just say every 15, 20, 30 minutes between the hours of x and y. Golf cart rental could be waved or reduced if used for golfing, or shopping. I think the possibilities could be interesting. Think of a mass transit system based on buses and golf carts. Lots of details to work out and consider, but there is a great group of people here, maybe this could work.....
How about a golf cart carrier shuttle, just like a car carrier or the auto train?

We'll need a service plaza for the cart path as well.

I would think tunneling under an existing road would be more expensive since the soil under is sand and the need to support the road above. All tunnels I've seen here were built first and then the road built over them. I guess that's what engineers are for.

Word just out, there was an additional land purchase, and it was announced that there will be a bridge over RT 44 to get from Brownwood to Fenny.

The is a bridge built previously as you said and TV now owns all the land surrounding it.

Thats how they can get the golf carts to 44 and beyond.

TV only owns land on one side of Bailey Bridge plus it is too far Southeast

Presumably, Buena Vista would run southward on the west side of Lake Okahumpka, over the Turnpike at a location north of the Okahumpka Service Plaza, then southward to CR468 and to a tunnel that is planned to go under CR468.

That's what they do. Lincoln Tunnel, Holland Tunnel---both a LOT longer and a LOT deeper, and the Hudson River was already there, all built with 1930's technology. Somebody on another thread commented that they can't build a tunnel wide enough for 2 cars to pass, much less golf carts. Seriously??? I think either way, tunnel or bridge, they will make it work

That's not even close to what was said.

I guess we will just have to wait and see.
"Problematic" = Relatively large tunnel size needed for two pickups to pass due to lack of bedrock, needed strengthening for sandy soil, complicated drainage issues (and possible pumping needed) for high water table, mobilizing a boring machine since cut & cover wouldn't most likely be allowed across turnpike, etc., etc.

Please note that I did not say..."it can't be done."

Although different environmental conditions, some of the same issues of a tunnel versus a bridge...are covered in this article.
