Default Help needed with choosing a pest control

My husband and I are new to the Villages from Upstate New York (Rochester) and are looking for a good pest control service. We also need a service to spray the trees and bushes. We noticed that our magnolia tree has a fungus on it and wouldn't want to loose it. Any suggestions on Pest Control and Fertilizing business?

I use Massey for both internal and external pest control. However, for the fungus on the magnolia, I hear that a copper sulfate solution you buy at local nurseries takes care of the problem.

Massey must be good. I have not seen a single live bug in the house in the
1+ year we have lived here. No fire ants in the yard, either, which is always a good thing.

There are several good companies around, and several rip-offs. You are doing the right thing by checking them out here, at the BBB, and at Seniors Vs Crime. One word of caution - you will probably end up purchasing several services - yard cutting, weed control and fertilizer, pest control (possibly interior and exterior separate), maybe even termite control, and possibly a lawn sprinkler service. A favorite "game" is for one to point the finger at another for problems. Weed control says the lawn cutter is bringing in the weeds on 'dirty' mower blades, etc. To avoid as much of that as possible, try to use only one service. Then, if problems crop up, they have no one to blame but themselves.

Default Pest control

And ask if they repair lawn damage caused by pests. I know PTL does.
