Default Lifestyle visit in May

Visited in January, stayed at the Waterfront Inn three nights, took the trolley tour and met with a sales rep. Returning next month to get more of a feel for the villages and trying to rent in Jan-Feb 2014, plus we have a dog. Any thoughts or opinions would be appreciated, we also placed a ad in the "real estate wanted" section. Thanks for any and all input.

upstate, Welcome to TOTV. When you visit TV in May, don't hesitate to ask people questions about their experiences of TV. I am a wannabee, and I have found that most people are more than happy to tell you about life in The Villages. Next month if you see a lost lady pulled off to the side of the golf cart trail looking at the map, that may be me as I will be in TV next month for 10 days -- yea rah!

If you find a rental for next winter, that is high season in The Villages, so you may not want to delay getting a rental as I understand many people make their rental arrangements a year in advance for the winter.

Enjoy your visit!

You are wise, multiple visits before purchase is the best way to go, imho.
