Default Living near Brownwood

I am planning to buy or build a home in TV in the next year or two. What neighborhoods are located near the new Brownwood area?

New construction south of 466A. None real close to Brownwood yet so you have a couple of years to get real close if that is your desire.

The villages currently building are: Sanibel, north of Pinellas; Charlotte, Fernandina and Gilchrist, south of Pinellas. Collier will be next. Charlotte, where we live is about fifteen minutes by golf cart from brown wood and twenty minutes by golf art from Lake Sumter.

Magnify the attached map to 150% and you can see all of the new villages

Note that the large parcel that is shown in white just west of Lake Deaton in this 2010 Master Plan has now been acquired by The Villages. I haven't seen any plans for this yet but there is already heavy equipment working on the land. If anyone has seen an updated plan please post a link!

I'm betting that there will be another premier section on this side of Lake Deaton because of the faster-than-expected sales of the premier sections at Fernandina and Pinellas. (One premier section is already shown on the east side, Osceola Hills at Lake Deaton).

We just visited TV for the first time (and LOVED it, bought a lot too!)

Just for fun we timed out all distances by car from South (Brownwood) to North (Spanish Springs), moving below posted speeds on Buena Vista Blvd to Stillwater Trail to Morse... the results:

Brownwood to Pinellas/Gilgchrist circle 4:14
Brownwood to Sea Breeze Regional Rec Center 6:38
Brownwood to Sumter Square 11:40
Brownwood to 466 14:56
Brownwood to Hacienda Hills CC 18:05
Brownwood to Hospital 441 20:00
Brownwood to Spanish Springs 22:00

So, by our unscientific reckoning, TV Brownwood to Spanish Springs: 22 minutes or so... NOT BAD at ALL... because TV is a GREAT place South to North!

If Brownwood lives up to the hype (and it MUST), it will be the hottest ticket at TV and for newbies south of 466A (and for ALL TV neighbors to the north) Brownwood will be IN the neighborhood square...

Bottom line, if you want to get in on all the NEW action, folks in sites south of 466A near Buena Vista will be in THE driver seat for the show (everyone else will just take a little more time)... It's ALL good!

Saxprof, Thank you for posting the driving time info. I wonder what the automobile driving time is from Brownwood to the Savannah Center and Brownwood to Nancy Lopez?
