I'm not sure how you missed the barriers! If you try and go down Corbin Trail, there are concrete barriers and a wire fence across the road.

...

The wire fence across Corbin was removed for several days when they put the top layer on Corbin. And removed again when they painted the center and diamond lane lines.

Ah, I see how one could miss the concrete barriers and no trespassing signs. As long as you could get around it a golf cart, it must be ok. The map said so.

Gotta love TOTV. A simple innocuous post asking about maps and people try to turn it into a debate about shortcuts through Villages.

Every thread doesn't need to be a debate.

Kinda like how theyll complain after buying into a village that abuts an existing middle/ high school complex, with lights, during band practice! No complaints....no forums. Its a feeder system! Carry on

In case not aware, In some places, residential streets can be used for short cuts or to avoid traffic/gates.

The GPS apps can help find those.

I would have to say what you are describing is an extremely rare instance. As far as avoiding traffic… Every major street has a golf cart path on the side so the cars won't get you. You are the first person I've ever heard that looked for alternative courses in pathways to avoid a gate. Those little red buttons are user-friendly.

I was thinking of doing thar once I had a printed golf cart map...the paths don't seem to complicated so comparing to Google maps I think is an excellent idea.

Some of the roads and gates have signs stating no golf carts allowed...

When you leave a gate and approach one of the main roads (ie Morse or Buena Vista), there is sign that tells you NOT to drive your cart on that road. There will always be an MMP available to enter.

The same with Meggison and Warm Springs in the southern areas.
