Default moving to Villages late June 2020

I am attempting to find a storage unit to rent one month before I move from Jacksonville, I want to rent a storage unit, ( small one 5x15) from 6/2-7/2, what is the process to find this. It appears when you get online, rentals only go out to 15 days forward. Any help would be appreciated. We wanted to bring some of our more fragile small stuff there earlier, before the big truck comes on 6.30, as it is only 100 miles away

Look online. New units are always being built. Suggest you locate a unit close to your home to reduce the back and forth trip time. Best to get an air conditioned unit even though it will cost a bit more.

Thanks for posting the thread, as after renting twice we've decided we are definitely moving here toward the end of the year and were wondering the same thing about maybe moving and storing stuff ahead of time.

If it were me, google would be my friend and I would start calling. Here's a map with some storage locations.

You might be able to use a pod. The company will store the pod until you are ready for delivery. You might be able to "store" it in your driveway until you are ready to move.

We had positive experience with Village Self Storage 352-314-8878.
