Default New Guy in Bonita

Recently moved into my 3/2 home in the Village of Bonita. Got the home "turn key" including a 2003 Yamaha gas cart which is mechanically sound. Been out west in Scottsdale, AZ for 22 years. Moved here for the activities and family living in Jacksonville where I grew up. Trying to go from dry heat to wet. Tough but hope to acclimate.

I can imagine that would be quite an adjustment! I went to ASU, but it's been a LONG time since I have visited AZ. Still have many friends in the Mesa/Chandler area. We rented a house in Bonita in 2014 and loved that location. I'll bet you will, too!! Welcome and good luck!

You can actually immunize yourself from the heat. What worked for me was the first summer I wore boots, snow pants, a flannel shirt, long underwear, gloves, and a fur hat. The next summer without all that I felt remarkably cool!

You'll acclimate; I came here in 2/15 and was out washing my car in shorts and a tee shirt with temps in the 60's; people were walking by wearing jeans and a light jacket. Welcome. We have friends in Surprise.
