Question New mailbox assignment

We will be closing 3/30/20 and living in Linden. We have been advised that the post office box assignment won't occur until closing. We will be putting in a change of address using our house address. Our realtor said we will be able to pick up our mail at the post office but he didn't let us know which post office that will be. Will it be in Wildwood? If someone could provide an address of the correct post office that would be great. We are really looking forward to arriving in TV. Thank you!!

Default Try this !!!

Put a hold on your mail to begin a few days before you move. Then when you close on the Villages home, put in a change of address and have your mail sent to your new address....

That's what we did and it worked perfectly.

It seems to me that closing and moving are rarely coinciding dates. When you close on the house you will get the mailbox number and the keys to it. But, as stated above, mail is actually addressed to your new house’s street address. Typically people put in a change of address with the post office when they actually move. You can do it online and specify the date on which the change takes affect. Suggest you start notifying businesses and utilities of the change at the same time as your move.
