Belvedere Village, equi-distant to the town squares, close to Bonefish Grill, Olive Garden and Red Lobster. Shopping at Publix (Southern Trace), Walmart, and Bealls. Mature area, beautiful. Very convenient to library, dog park, etc., etc. |

You need to decide on several things:
1. New or pre-owned. New comes with a bond. 2. Close to shopping, doctors, rec centers or close to squares. 3. Do you want to be in the less trafficed areas. There is no bad area and everyone will tell you their village is the best. It's a matter of your preferences. You just have to keep looking until you find a place that feels like "home". A visit would give an idea of what type of home you might like. |

You should choose a village that is within a ten minute drive to the grocery and close enough to the squares that you don't have a long drive home in the golf cart after having a few libations...(for the FIRST YEAR) then you will find other things to do and other people to hang out with and won't go as often. You should choose a village with a lot of beautiful landscaping all around you and well built homes and people who say "Good Mornin' Bob. Another beautiful day in The Villages." You should live on a street where people have potluck gatherings on their driveways and someone has a Christmas brunch. Choose a village that has adults who are all the same age in their hearts and find some buddies to golf with, couples to play cards with and folks who you can wave to in church.
I suggest a village that if you were sick would care that you were and watch out for you and I hope you choose one that has a smattering of dog owners so you can peek out your front window to see them taking a walk. Choose a place where you can drive to Lowes and Home Depot in about 20 minutes or less because you will be needing to see them to add things to your home that you will like. Choose a place with kind and generous grown up people who now have the time to laugh and time for friends and fun. Welcome home. |
