I see this was started a few months ago. We recently moved into St. James and would love to be involved in a wine club of this sort.

We plan on starting a wine club after we get settled in. I have started two wine clubs in the Wine country of California and Las Vegas. They are fun and a nice monthly social event. We will contact all that have responded after we are all moved in. Thanks for the reply. Will include you in our wine club invitation.

The fun thing about a wine club is you do not have to be a wine expert to enjoy tasting good wine with friends. Whether you enjoy red, white or sweet wines, a wine club allows you to sample wines you may not choose to purchase for yourself. In the wine clubs I have been a member, we always enjoyed hosting a wine tasting evening in December with different holiday champagnes to taste.

Since a different host is selected each month and the host chooses the type of wine to be sampled, you have an opportunity to try out a variety of different wines, local and out of state. We are bringing our California wine country collection with us when we move to the Villages in October. We look forward to trying Eastern and Southern wines too.

Yes, there will be a wine club in The Villages
 

We should arrive in TV in less than 3 weeks. Once we get settled in and organized we will pursue setting up a wine club. We have a great winery sponsor here in California that will assist us in our pursuit of a wine club. We have received many request from couples to join the group and we will contact all once we are ready to form the wine club.

The Villages Wine Club
 

There has been some confusion regarding setting up a wine club in The Villages. I first proposed a wine club back in early June when I first joined this forum. I made it known that Suzie and I would not be arriving in the villages until late October or early November. As it turns out we should arrive on November 1st with a little luck. We are excited about forming a wine club as we have a well known California winery that is going to assist us in establishing what should be a very informative wine club, complete with introduction to different wines and Skype broadcasts on different wines and wine paring presentations.

There was some mention of an October meet and greet, however, this is not possible under our schedule. We will contact the many couples that have contacted us and are interested in our wine club once we get settled in and are ready to get things started. Thanks for everyone's patience.
