Hose connections are potable water, irrigation water is in PINK piping, DO NOT DRINK!!
You can confirm, turn on hose faucet, go to garage, and turn off house water, hose faucet will stop running.

Home Irrigation:
- North of CR 466, homes are irrigated with potable water. - South of CR 466, homes are irrigated with non-potable water comprised of storm water runoff collected in water retention areas and groundwater from the lower Floridian aquifer when storm water supplies are not available. Water from the outside hose bibs is potable water. Last edited by Aw Man; 06-04-2017 at 09:09 PM. Reason: Additional item |

Most Hoses are NOT safe for drinking the water
Quote:
Most hoses are not safe for drinking (you or your pets) unless the hose label specifies it is. If your query is regarding your plantings, it doesn't matter where the water comes from.

Water from a hose bibb attached to the house is potable water, but if you attach a hose to it, don't drink it because of possible contamination from the hose material.
