I may be wrong but I believe it is approximately 70,000.

Growing to 110,00 by the end of 2011.

When I visited last year, the sales rep said it was approximately 80,000. When it is completely built out, he said it would be around 110,000. It will probably not be fully built out until 2015. However, you also need to remember that many people do not live there year round. I had one realtor tell me that about 60% stay year round. So, the population swells in the winter and shrinks during the summer.

Approximately 80,000 is what I've seen, also.

If you look at the Rate Card on the Daily Sun website, it says the population is 80,000, but it has said that for about a year. It also says the projected population is 102,119 (interesting number) in the year 2015.

My in-laws were visiting recently and went to see some of the models. The salesman said 82,000.

You'll love it! Welcome! (Bring your check book. Just sayin'!)

Our reaserch showed a census count of 8,000 in 2000 and near 80,000 in 2010. Our reps told us about 70% are year rounders (FROGS) but most go away for some part of the summer. Final buildout numbers vary. We expect to see increased activity in TV when Fortune names TV the "best Active Adult planned community" in the country. The 2 folks across the land who have not heard of us will find out our secret then.....

Keep in mind the number that is estimated at 80,000 is assuming every house has got someone in it.

The actual number people HERE right now in June 2011 is probably somewhere around 40-50 thousand, (my GUESS).

An exacmple: Thursday beginner pickleball in March @ Chula Vista rec center - 60 people show up to play on 6 courts.

Thursday beginner pickleball in JUNE @ Chula Vista rec center - 8-10 people show up to play on 6 courts.

Everyone said it was around 80,000 three years ago in June when we bought in half finished Hadley. Now Hadley is finished, the rest of Duval, Amelia, Hemingway, Bonita, Bridgeport at Miona Shores, most of Pennecamp and Buttonwood, St. Charles, and St. James is building out fast as well as a village Tamerind something. And now they have sold many lots in the brand new Sanibel, south of 466A and almost finished the new Premier village of Laurel Valley.

We are growing rapidly.

So we have a whole lot more folks now. Wonder how many??
