Default Question regarding renting

I am pleased with what I saw on my visit to TV. I will eventually buy a home there, but since I need to investigate and find the correct area and home for me, I am thinking of renting for a year, while I look for a home.
Can any of you direct me to the correct place to go to get information on renting? When I go to rental sites, they list seasonal and off seasonal rates, and not annual.
Is it possible to rent for approx. $1,000 per month? Do rentals usually include all of the amenities associated with TV?...or does this vary?
Thanks for any help that can be offered.

Two suggestions:

1. JD Management is a respected property management firm that handles TV properties. Contact them at 352-638-3870 or 800-765-9611 for information.

2. At the bottom of TOTV, you will see a For Rent section. Read the messages there.

Good luck.

Most of the furnished rentals are for shorter stays. It may be hard to find one still available that is unrented for a full year.

Depending on size and amenities, most rentals are for $3 to $4k in winter months and down to 1 to 1.5k for summer months. I think you may have a hard time finding one for $1k per month.

A year is a long time to rent. I would suggest you wait until after the high winter season and look for a 3 to 6 month rental. Many should be available in the off season. You might want to try several shorter stays in different parts of TV to experience the variety available.

You can probably find your dream home in a much shorter time frame than one year. We rented for a month and bought after 4 days.

Good luck!

I agree with Bob. Wait until April and rent for a few months tops. Maybe even month to month since many rentals stay unrented for the entire summer.
