Default Roofers

I had a roof repair in Dodge City KS when the temperature was 112-114 during the day. We provided gatoraid and water... When they quit early in the afternoon we had a huge gazebo, and provided each guy with a cold beer.

I was told by one roofer, thanks because most people look at them like they were dog doo doo, on their shoes.

It does not take much to be nice...... If your roof needed repairs you might have a different attitude....

Yes, there is. 7 a.m., about when the golfers start teeing off. Some people can’t sleep in, but have to earn a living.

7:30am....horrible, you must have lousy neighbors to let this happen to you

You should call the Morse family, they need to put a stop this foolishness right now

Oh and while you're at it...get a hold of the mayor of NYC....I was awoken very early one morning after having a difficult time trying to get to sleep with all the noise from sirens and automobile horns on the streets of Manhattan

there's just no respect anymore

I feel for those guys up there in the heat. Stop complaining give these people a break. Try offering them cold water as the day goes by.

For those who have never worked outside in construction you have no idea how hot it really gets out there. As for the roofer they start as early as they can because the heat doesn't only kill them but it's extra tough on the roofing materials. They're tar plain and simple and your standing or kneeling on the course or courses below. The hotter it gets the softer the shingle is. Therefore damage can be done IF one isn't very careful. That's one of the reasons that start early the other being they have to be stable enough to get down off the roof. Having done it there were days in the summer we started at Sun up and ended early because of the heat. So when your in your nice air conditioned house think of the poor guy or gal on that roof. My landscape guys comes every week in the summer. I walk out with 4 or 5 bottles of cold gatorade every week. Believe me they are thankful.

Talk to anybody living on a golf course. Work needs to get done before the tee times start.

You are retired and in quarantine; what else do you have to do? You can nap at any point in the day. The allure of The Villages is slowly fading for me as I read the daily messages during a time when lifestyle has been interrupted for a bit.

They can start at 6:00am. One of the drawbacks about living with a golf course in our backyard. At least your noise should end in a few days.
