Be very careful driving that lovely car around town.
Driving is a whole new world and experience here! There is a regular classic car show at village square, so you definitely will not be alone. I used to love watching the Galaxies race at Brands Hatch in UK back in the day. Fabulous beasts! A Galaxie win for Clark | peterwindsor.com Last edited by Two Bills; 03-17-2020 at 11:35 AM. |

I remember driving the convertible version of it back in 1964. My girlfriend's father owned a Ford dealership...

At LSL the various car clubs, Corvette, Camaro, Thunderbird, Convertibles, etc will display the members cars around the square on Fridays throughout the year usually starting in March. Also Friday's Villages Sun newspaper has a 'Wheels' section and usually the front page highlights a Villager's collectible car. Every November there is a car show with many dealers and usually over 100 new cars on display all day Saturday & Sunday at LSL. Spanish Springs Cruise In Lake Sumter Landing Antique Club on Display |

Where do the owners of these beautiful cars keep them and work on them?

Absolutely yes. I have a 67 Chevelle SS396 that I drive to various events and shows.

Working on cars
I have a 1925 Model T Ford and have to continually tinker with it. It is a hobby, not a business.
I try to be considerate and not make noise, emit paint fumes, etc. Major work is sent out. Neighbors are wonderful and they enjoy seeing the car. I have a golf cart garage, so the cart, Model T and modern car fit nicely.

Without a golf cart garage, I must store ours offsite. It's a bit of a pain but less than what a house with that feature would cost us.
Also, I don't worry about driving it around TV. With classic car insurance (stated value) and the fact that my antique British "drop head" costs way less than most folks daily driver, I enjoy the drive.
