Default Villages Concert Series

While I realize it's a very subjective matter, does anyone else feel as I do that the quality of the guest artists in The Villages Concert Series has diminished? After eight years as a season ticket series patron I have declined to sign up again partly because of the drop off in the quality of artists (I'd be willing to pay more for an upgrade in talent) and partly because of the failure over eight years to do anything about the very uncomfortable seats at Savannah Center. Instead of Series tickets I'm electing next season to just pick and choose a few shows and explore the possibilities in Orlando. What say you?

We've only been to one concert, and it was forgettable, but we did have relatives who have now moved out of The Villages, who made the same complaint you did.

i'm with you.......what a terrible concert series to offer. We were thinking of joining since our friends also belong. After seeing what they were offering, we didn't join and they didn't renew

We canceled our series tickets also. They seemed to get away from the 60's & 70's music. We had season tickets for 6 years and endured the seats because the entertainment was good. We will be selective with our purchases and reduce the amount of shows we see. Buying tickets online are not our preferred way because we never know were we will sit.

Just wondering what acts you didn't like and which ones you did?

Can't say that we disliked any particular show, some were just boring. The last show of this seasons series was "Tribute to dirty dancing" , we went Wed, night. Very good show it included songs from Dirty Dancing and late 50's songs. I did not know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. We generally bought the series tickets if we wanted to see at least 75% of the shows listed. We are not buying the next series because we are only interested in maybe 2 shows.
