The 3 poorest counties in Florida are Hamilton, Dixie and Putnam. The counties here aren't even in the top 10.
The crime rate here is no where near crime in other parts of Florida.
There has never been an exact date that the Villages would be at build out.
And who do you mean that is competing with the developer ?

Aside from a mortgage what are the costs of living at T.V.? We visited in Oct. of 2014 and fell in love we want to buy a place and rent it out for a few years while we finish our careers here in Ohio. Any advice or thoughts? Thank you

We love the villages..... We've only been here for a few short months. Worth every penny and the people we've met here are great.

I feel very safe here.
This is the first time in my life I haven't lived near a
major city.
I LOVE it!

Safe, clean, little traffic and just plain great.

We have lived here going on two years and yes, it is as great as others would say it is. The best part is going everywhere in your golf cart!!!

Unlike other suburbs I've lived in, there are no wealthy neighborhoods or "wrong side of the tracks" neighborhoods in The Villages. There are big expensive houses and smaller less expensive houses, but they are all mixed together and everyone shares the same recreational facilities, same shopping, same restaurants. same churches, etc., etc. Truly amazing. You won't appreciate it until you've stayed here awhile. So rent for a month or two and see for yourself.
